Parks
The City of La Verne is proud of its parks (which total approximately 110 acres). A community "Sports Park Facility" has been developed at Bonita High School and is available for public use. The Sports Park Facility includes a local Skate Park which requires safety equipment. The Sports Park complex also includes a state-of-the-art, aquatics center at Las Flores Park. The Sports Park facilities were built at no cost to the City's general fund by utilizing a "financing authority" and funding partnerships.
The City's Parks and Community Services Department offers a wide variety of recreational and leisure activities. The City is also within one mile of the L.A. County Frank G. Bonnelli Regional Park. There are four golf courses in or adjacent to La Verne.
