IVHS to Open for Customer Service & Spay/Neuter Appointments

June 26, 2020 – The Inland Valley Humane Society & S.P.C.A. (IVHS) is continuing to adjust our shelter operations as we follow the safety and health updates provided by the CDC and local government. Effective June 29th at 8 AM, IVHS will be scheduling in-person licensing services on an appointment-only basis. We will be serving the public with modified hours of operation (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday – Saturday) in conjunction with adjusted services and the implementation of safety measures to protect employee and public health.

Customer Service will continue to process all licenses over the phone by calling (909) 623-9777, online at, and by mail. In addition, in-person Customer Service/Licensing appointments can be requested here: All visitors must adhere to our shelter’s Licensing Appointment health and safety protocols. Protocols include visitors waiting in their vehicle until called to come to the door by a Customer Service Representative, wearing a mask, and no more than 1 person meeting a Customer Service Representative per appointment.

The Veterinary Department is now also offering Spay/Neuter appointments for those residing in our service cities. Appointments can be requested at  We are excited to once again offer this low cost service to our community to help us in our mission: reducing homeless pet overpopulation.

The doors to the Inland Valley Humane Society & S.P.C.A. are open to every animal in need. Because they are a "full access" shelter, no animal is ever turned away.  As a full-access shelter, the Inland Valley Humane Society & S.P.C.A. takes in sick and injured animals and those that are not probable candidates for adoption. Everyday dozens of pets that are no longer wanted are turned over to the caring hands of IVHS; every day they accept pets from people who are unable to care for them anymore; and everyday their doors open for the dozens of stray animals that are lost, abandoned and homeless. At the core of the Inland Valley Humane Society & S.P.C.A. is their obligation to care for these animals.

They work vigorously to find new, loving and permanent homes for every healthy pet, and do a great job at it. Because IVHS is a full-access shelter and never deny any animal entry, there is no set time limit for how long an animal will be available for adoption. As long as the animal is healthy, maintains a good disposition and they have space, they'll keep a pet for an indefinite period.
