[ARCHIVED] Applications Being Accepted for City of La Verne Active Transportation Committee

The City of La Verne is currently accepting applications for two vacancies on the La Verne Active Transportation Committee. The City Council encourages interested La Verne residents to apply who are 18 years or older and have been a La Verne resident for at least one year. The (2) appointments will fill unexpired terms through August 2023. Maximum of 2 terms. 

The Active Transportation Committee is comprised of nine (9) members, Five (5) La Verne residents and two City Council members (who are appointed by the City Council) and two (2) staff members. Regular meetings of the committee will be generally held once per quarter, but may be scheduled less frequently as determined by chairperson or City staff. 

The Active Transportation Committee is a community body to help facilitate policies to create multi-modal transportation options in the City of La Verne that enable safe, attractive, comfortable, and independent access and travel for people who walk, ride bicycles, drive, and use transit; provide staff with recommendations for pragmatic and specific user solutions; and serve as a conduit for community input.

The closing date for submitting applications is Monday, August 8, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. Applications may be obtained by calling the Clerk’s office at (909) 596-8726; from the City’s link at https://www.cityoflaverne.org/csapp, or stopping by the City Clerk’s office at 3660 “D” Street, La Verne, CA 91750. 

The City Clerk’s office is open between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and closed on Fridays.
