Instructors
Hi, I'm Miss Sally!
I have enjoyed working for the City of La Verne Preschool program for the past 25 years. Currently, I am the Preschool Coordinator of our program. Working with young children has always been my passion. I believe learning can and should be fun.
My husband John and I have two daughters, Robyn and Laura. Both girls attended City of La Verne Preschool when they were young, as well as our grandson, Cruz. John and I both grew up in the La Verne/San Dimas area. Between 1989 and 2002 I ran a Licensed Home Daycare. Between raising our girls and the daycare, I attended Child Development classes at Mt. San Antonio College.
In my spare time I enjoy traveling and a member of a running club. I've completed numerous Half Marathons, as well as completing the Walt Disney World Marathon in 2015 and the L.A. Marathon the last 6 years.
Hi, I'm Miss Cheryl!
I've worked for the City of La Verne preschool for 37 years. I'm happy to say that I still enjoy working with the children and I've also had some of the children of my past students in my class.
My husband and I both grew up in Glendora and after marrying in 1975, we moved to La Verne. We have a daughter and son who are both married and we have two grandchildren. My son went to La Verne preschool at the same time I started working as a substitute for the program. Both of our children went to school in the Bonita Unified School District and are college graduates. When my children were young I was involved in PTA and the San Dimas/La Verne Soccer Program.
In my spare time, I like to spend time with my family.
Hi, I'm Miss Melinda.
I've worked for the City of La Verne since 2015. I have also worked for the City of Glendora's Preschool program for five years as a substitute. I love working with children to help develop their social skills and early childhood education.
My husband Steve and I live in Glendora and have two grown sons. Brandon and Christian are both Eagle Scouts and have been active in the recreation programs through the City of Glendora. My oldest son is a graduate of the University of La Verne and my youngest son is currently a student at Citrus College.
My hobbies include crafting and stained glass art. I also enjoy traveling and spending time with family and friends.
