Administration
Administration is composed of the City Manager, City Clerk, and Information Systems

City Clerk
The City Clerk is appointed by the City Council, designated as a department head, and governed by the provisions of the Government Code, Elections Code, and the La Verne Municipal Code.

Community Development
Through the efforts of four divisions, this department is responsible for orderly development within the City.

Community Services
The Community Services Department consists of Recreation and sports programs, youth activities, and senior citizen services.

Public Works
The Public Works Department is dedicated to planning, developing and maintaining the County's infrastructure, solid waste program, facilities, and other services in a manner which provides safe travel for the general public and enhances the quality of life.

Human Resources
The Human Resources department administers the City's personnel system.

Finance
The Finance Division Handles all financial matters including the collection, accounting, investment, and administration of funds; is also responsible for business licenses in the City.

Fire
The Fire Department is responsible for protecting public life and property through the suppression and prevention of fires and for the control and containment of hazardous/toxic chemicals.

Police
The La Verne Police Department, as a vital component of the City, shall preserve our community's exceptional quality of life by providing the highest level of law enforcement.
